At Go Anywhere Dog®, coached play and short skill sessions are woven together in every class, from Puppy & Me through Life Skills 301. Dogs get room to practice social skills with their classmates and practical skills with their people. The two belong together.
This 29-second graduation montage alternates playful moments with By My Side, a short skill sequence, Magic Mat stays and recalling past bowls of hot dogs and mini hamburgers. These are Life Skills graduation clips illustrating our class model; they aren’t footage from every level or a chronological recording of one class.

The work grows through manageable steps, kind guidance and practice together. A graduation clip is a moment in that journey. New puppy families begin much earlier, with support for the puppy in front of them. Our approach is Boundaries Without Trauma®, built on love, trust and dignity.
What does research say about play and learning?
Research has found learning benefits from play after training in some dogs. A study of 16 adult Labradors found improved relearning the next day after dog–human play following an object-discrimination task. A 2025 study of everyday sit/stay training found a benefit in one experiment with novice dogs, but a second controlled experiment did not reproduce it. The evidence is promising and still developing. It doesn’t establish an optimal class schedule or prove the effect of short dog–dog play breaks across an entire program.

All group classes meet at 14500 Martin Dr, Suite 1500, Eden Prairie, MN 55344. Puppies under 16 weeks begin with Puppy & Me. Dogs starting from 16 weeks to under a year begin with Life Skills 101, then grow through 201 and 301.
