What is in-home puppy training?
It is personal support for your puppy and family in your own home. Choose Puppy Start at Home to learn alongside your puppy at every visit, or a 10- or 20-session Perfect Puppy Prep program for more trainer-led practice and socialization outings. Your puppy continues living at home with you.
How much does private puppy training cost?
Puppy Start at Home is $435 for three one-hour in-home coaching sessions with your family, plus the full GAD video course. For more trainer-led practice, see the 10- and 20-session packages and pricing above.
Is three sessions enough? Can we continue afterward?
Three sessions give you personal help with your most pressing puppy questions and a place to begin practicing. They are a starting point, not a promise that every skill or challenge will be finished. You can book additional coaching when you want more support; a larger package is not required.
What is the difference between 10 and 20 sessions?
The 10-session plan includes four socialization / foundation sessions and six skills-training sessions. The 20-session plan includes six socialization / foundation sessions, eight skills-training sessions, and six additional outings to practice those skills around real-world distractions. Your coach adjusts the focus and cadence to your puppy’s needs.
Do I have to be home for every session?
For Puppy Start at Home, yes—your family participates in all three one-hour visits. In the 10- and 20-session programs, most sessions are your coach working directly with your puppy. You join at least two sessions in the 10-session program or four in the 20-session program.
Can you help with potty training and puppy biting?
Yes. We help you understand typical puppy behavior and build practical routines for potty training, play biting, chewing, settling, and everyday skills. Tell us what is hardest right now so your coach can focus on what matters to your family.
When can my puppy start?
Contact Jeannie with your puppy’s age, your ZIP code, and preferred timing. She can help confirm fit and coach availability. Registration purchases your package; appointment dates are arranged separately. Puppy Start at Home sessions must be used within six months of purchase.
Are group classes included?
Group classes at our Eden Prairie school are available separately. If you want both private training and the class journey, explore our Ultimate Puppy packages. You can also explore puppy classes or adolescent dog classes.
