Bio

Jody Karow, CTC, is the founder and lead trainer of Go Anywhere Dog®, a puppy and dog training school serving the Minneapolis metro since 2012, and the creator of Boundaries Without Trauma®.

She came to dog training the long way. Before dogs, Jody worked in child advocacy and adolescent mental health, then spent the 1990s in corporate technology. She began training dogs professionally in 2004 and earned her CTC from the Academy for Dog Trainers, the program founded by behaviorist Jean Donaldson.

That path shaped the method. Boundaries Without Trauma® applies to dogs what Jody learned working with traumatized young people: emotional safety has to come before compliance, and boundaries built through fear don’t hold. Her instructional video on canine body language has been viewed nearly a million times.
