When you brought that puppy home, you entered into a partnership. And not a 50/50 partnership, either. Let’s be real here: somebody’s gotta be the adult in the room and it ain’t going to be your dog. (Sorry.)
If you expect your dog to give up some of his “dogginess” to follow human rules, it’s our job to make the human rules reasonable and achievable. Oftentimes, that means it’s on us to manage problem behaviors or re-examine our expectations.
