Life Skills 101 welcomes Puppy & Me graduates and dogs beginning group training from 16 weeks to one year. Older dogs may join after a consultation.

Do we need Puppy & Me before Life Skills 101?

No. Life Skills 101 is the starting point for dogs 16 weeks to one year who are new to group training, as well as Puppy & Me graduates.

You’ll begin with everyday skills and a shared language, then build through 201 and 301.

What if my dog is over a year old?

We do make exceptions after a consultation. Talk with us before enrolling so we can understand your dog and decide together whether group classes are a good fit.

What if my dog barks, lunges, or feels afraid?

Contact us before registering. Tell us what you’re seeing and where it happens, so we can help you choose a comfortable starting point.

For dogs who need individual support, private dog behavior help may be the better first step.

Are small and large dogs in the same class?

We offer separate small-dog and medium/large-dog classes. Our maximum ratio is five dogs per coach, with coaches helping you read body language and support your dog’s comfort during social learning.

How long are classes, and where do we meet?

Each Life Skills level has five weekly, 45-minute classes at 14500 Martin Dr, Suite 1500, Eden Prairie, MN 55344.

We offer weeknight and Saturday classes, serving Minneapolis, Edina, Bloomington, Minnetonka, and nearby suburbs. Check current Life Skills 101 dates and times.

What support is included between classes?

Step-by-step homework videos, detailed class reviews, and helpful emails let you revisit the learning and stay on track. Badges encourage you to notice progress along the way.

Can we join 201 or 301 right away?

The classes build on one another: start with 101, continue to 201, then 301. If your dog has trained elsewhere, contact us to discuss their experience and the right starting point.

What if we miss a class?

The full Life Skills package includes one make-up class per level. Contact Jeannie to arrange a make-up or ask about options for an individual series; availability depends on the schedule.
