This methodology grows out of our core training philosophy—one grounded in emotional safety, humane boundaries, and clarity.

The Go Anywhere Dog® Methodology is the culmination of decades of observation, education, and hands-on experience in the real world — beginning in 2004, when our founder discovered healing and awe while watching dogs run free at Minnehaha Dog Park with her dog, Buddha. Those barefoot hours by the river revealed something profound: when dogs feel safe, they show the world who they really are — joyful, curious, connected, and free.
That vision became our North Star, guiding the opening of Wagging Tails in 2009, one of Minnesota’s first enrichment-based daycares — and eventually evolving into what Go Anywhere Dog® is today: a complete, science-based, relationship-centered system of learning for dogs and humans alike.

Emotional Safety Comes First
Learning begins when a dog feels safe. Before asking for skills or compliance, we assess emotional state and lower stress so the nervous system is capable of learning.
Developmentally Appropriate Expectations
Puppies, adolescents, and adult dogs have different brains and capacities. We teach the right skill at the right moment—preventing overwhelm and frustration for both dogs and humans.
